DEFAULT_LANGUAGE

This configuration variable sets the default national language template to use for all lists on the server.

This configuration variable is particularly useful for servers running in non-English-speaking countries and with a few lists in English. This variable allows you to define a default national language mail template file for all lists (thereby eliminating the need to code "Language=" in all lists in order to make them use the national language template). Setting this variable to any value other than "ENGLISH" assumes that you have provided a national language mail template file. If this variable is left unset or is set to "ENGLISH", LISTSERV uses the DEFAULT.MAILTPL file.
