DEFAULT_SPLIT

This configuration variable defines a default value for the SPLIT modifier of the GET command, causing files ordered with the GET command to be automatically split into smaller chunks. This option can be useful if LISTSERV is behind a firewall or other central mail gateway with an unusually low maximum message size limit. The unit is in kB.

DEFAULT_SPLIT=250

This variable is not set by default, which means that messages are not split unless specifically requested by the user.
